The design of this project is inspired by the different geographical features between local north and south canal segment. The north segment of the canal is an open water area with little shipping transportation; while, to the south segment lies a quaint water town at the waterfront. These geographical features are well integrated into this project by modern landscape design techniques. Stepping into the Mansion, visitors could enjoyably experience the vastness of the north canal and also exquisite lifestyle of waterfront area on its south side. There is no need to attach a story to the site. The soul of Wuxi City and the charm of the canal permeates the whole site through the strong visual contrast of the landscaping spaces.
