The method of new Chinese garden design is adopted to manipulate the layout through a main axis connecting building, garden, park and Hutong, and the continuity is formed and provides different views while walking. The important landscape nodes have three characteristics – Tranquil, Clear and Elegant. The movement of clock, bell, water and tree reveals "Tranquil". The clean air and special aroma of plants explain "Clear". The common quality of landscape materials including grey brick, pottery, copper, etc. interprets "Elegant". The color combines with architectural style to present the primitive simplicity and refined beauty.
The landscape design emphasizes an atmosphere of rich culture revealing the unique character of "Remote, Sparse, Elegant, Natural and Zen". Through the design of entrance gate as well as the contrast of mountain and water, the project presents a high quality integrated with a royal tone and Zen Buddhist culture. Thus, this low key and luxurious project is more like a precious "collection" rather than a "residence".
