Urban Design for the Seafront in Bao'an Central District, Shenzhen
Binhai Area and Bihai Area in Bao'an central district, together with Nanshan Qianhai and Houhai, form the Qianhai center, one of the twin urban seafront centers of Shenzhen.
The project is located in Binhai Area of Bao'an central district in Shenzhen, facing the sea in the south. It is blessed with abundant landscape resources and is one of the landmarks in Binhai Area.
With the approval of Shenzhen City Master Plan (2010-2020) and The Overall Development Plan of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone, Qianhai center has been endowed with rich national preferential policies. With geographical and policy advantages, Qianhai center will be built into a modern and international coastal city center. As an important node of the Coastal Leisure Zone in Qianhai center, the seafront in Bao'an central district is also facing an important historic opportunity.
On this basis, it becomes an important task for designers to make full use of the policies and geographical advantages to enhance the image, vitality and charm of the seafront in the Bao'an central district.
