People's preference for waterside residence can be traced back to the ancient times, and now living near the water is still the ideal lifestyle that people yearn for. Located in the east of Chengyang District, Qingdao, the INT Mansion is surrounded by mountains and lakes. The project site is kissed by god with scarce natural scenery in nowadays modern metropolises, while it elegantly echos with strong local humanistic atmosphere. Four mainly themed landscaping spaces are created in the mansion. They are elegantly connected with each other by the special design element of "Longshan Black Pottery" (a kind of black pottery made by traditional pottery making techniques). The antique aesthetic charm of Travelers Among Mountains and Streams (the best known work of Fan Kuan, a Chinese landscape painter in the Song Dynasty) is also intelligently adopted into the design to make the four themed spaces visually well integrated with each other. Other diverse layered featuring architectural spaces, such as the two-floor terrace and sunken courtyard, are naturally integrated into the existing buildings with different heights in the demonstration area, showing the aesthetic transition of various spaces. An enchanting livable environment embraced by the landscapes changing along with each moving step is built for the residents here by various designing techniques and beautiful natural scenery.
