Tahoe Courtyards Serene Yard, Beijing
Beijing Tahoe Courtyards Serene Yard
Project Client: Beijing Taihe Real Estate Development Co., Ltd.
Landscaping Area: 2,000㎡
Completion Time: Dec. 2008
The project is built in neo-Chinese style with magnificent royal gardening aura of Tang Dynasty. By a layout of Chinese royal garden, the design highlights the features of symmetry, grandeur, solemnity, magnificence as well as exquisite details of modern structures. Based on such a style, L&A Design well integrates the concept of traditional Chinese ethical standards into this project. It represents a Chinese humanistic philosophy that advocates cherishing the plainness behind luxurious life.
Compared with the traditional royal gardening style of Tang, the design for this project is more modern. Despite following a traditional axis-symmetrical layout, the structure and paving details highlight modern elements, such as mainly adopting horizontal lines and creating a sense of coziness floating above the ground. Although the design focus is to create a splendid Tang style spatial experience, these modern approaches make the garden more relaxing and enjoyable. It subtly echoes with the hazy poetic image of Misty Jiangnan.
