New BaJiao Amusement Park is designed as a relaxing and all-age-inclusive public space with a theme of Beijing Winter Olympics. Fulfilling the requirements on public space in the Beijing urban planning regulations, the design is based on a thorough understanding of the site's needs in ecology, culture and leisure as well as on a detailed analysis of the site's social significance, user groups and functions. Being organically stitched with the surrounding urban fabric, the park is endowed with great vitality which allows it to extend and grow independently.
