Located in Jianqiao, a city famous for its cocoon and silk production, this project sublimated its special local cocoon culture through modern interpretation, putting forward the wishes of “embrace something new” into the residential environment to create an elegant community with high quality.
This project features in the expression of arcs. Designers drew their inspiration from the smoothness and nimbleness of cocoon silk to build tradition Chinese garden spaces in a modern way. Waterscape continues its curve to the gate, stages and arced corridors, and the water-surface fits well with the paths. Such exquisite arc-design visually overturns the ordinary impressions of simple relation between man and waterscape. The road is built as a sunken space, making people immersed in an ethereal, romantic and natural ambience by the light and shadows from water and trees.
