The Peach Blossom Mountain Park is located in the northwest of the Peach Blossom Mountain Scenic Spot, a part of the area of Meixi Lake. It is an important area of new town construction in Changsha, with beautiful surroundings and unique characteristics.
The design presents the mountain terrain and landscape trait of the Peach Blossom Scenic Spot. The vision of the design is to create a peaceful, tranquil, natural open park with a view of mountains and water, i.e."Peach Blossom on the bank of Meixi Lake, water reflection of clouds and sky among Peach Blossom Mountain".
The park is divided into five function areas: Entry Area – "Pink peach welcoming visitors", Landscape Cascading Area – "Tracking among groves of the valley", Landscape Reservoir Area – "Water mirror reflecting clouds of the sky", Water Feature Area – "A vivid water view with abundant peach trees blossoming" and Ecological Meadow Area – "An idle walk when smelling the fragrance of flowers". The design style and elements lend the form of local flowers, water course and mountain fabric, and the contribution of Peach Blossom Mountain Park to the prospect of new town and the improvement of life quality is stressed. The design complies with the principle of ecology that the nature is infused into sightseeing and travel to create a mutually beneficial relationship between humans and nature. Based on the harmonious relation of ecology, society, humanity and economic benefits in their development, the design respects the resources of history and culture as well as the public.
