Chongqing Children's Park

The project is located on Guanhong Avenue nearby Hongen Temple Forest Park, Chongqing. It is the first ecological park themed with children in Chongqing and the Southwest Region of China. With a total investment of RMB 135million, the whole park covers an area of approx. 9.67ha and can accommodate 2,500 visitors at a time. L&A Design Group came up with the idea of "Mountain city with vitality, Play for all" and aimed at providing a happy activity space for both parents and kids. After analyzing age groups, the space is divided into south and north parts according to children's psychological and activity characteristics. The south side is activity area for babies and toddlers, while the north side is activity area for children and adolescents. Six areas themed with ecology, fun, inspiration, gratitude, technology, culture & adventure distribute reasonably throughout the 10ha park.
The whole park is divided into two parts – south and north parts, connected by an underground passage named with "Underwater World". On the top of the underground passage is undulating sea water, and both sides are underwater creatures, such as tropical fish, corals, crabs and seahorses, forming a beautiful view for passersby. Except for this cartoon design, L&A Design Group also focused on the plant pallete and beauty of ecology. Over 1500 plants are planted in the park to fit different theme areas and form multiple vegetation landscape. "Sensory Park" and "Visual Park" are designed in combination with children's inborn nature where kids can feel the magic and beauty of nature through five senses, such as color, taste, when playing.
