CIFI Yihexiang Demonstration Area
CIFI Yihexiang, a luxury residential project built by CIFI Group in Beijing, was planned with a very small demonstration area. How to make an exquisite and livable modern landscaping with essential local cultural context in the limited space was a big challenge for designers.
Mr. Bo Li, the Chairman and Chief Designer of L&A Design Group, advocated, “When designing the Neo-Chinese style landscape, we must firstly extract the cultural essence from local feature of the project site. It is the necessary for an excellent cultural landscape design work.” Neo-Chinese landscape design is just a kind of design method, not a kind of fixed design style. Using local culture as a clue, designers could endow each project with a unique aesthetic feeling, and also could create a touching story belong to each space. As people walk through it, a story containing the natural landscape essences will be told to them, as well as a modern landscape scroll with poetry and nature.
Compared to other projects, the CIFI Yihengxiang demonstration area is a space-limited plot with just 750 square meters. Designers can only use the terraced front yard for the function of demonstration. In addition, during the demonstration of real-estate sales, the whole residential community was still under construction, so protecting customers became one design requirement for the designers. In order to solve the problem, a pass-through corridor was added to ensure safety while also extending the demonstration space visually.
