The overall design of Pingdu Vanke City adopts neo-Chinese style, catering to the local feature of Pingdu - an ancient county-level city with a long history in Qingdao. The project is divided into four parts. At the center are the entrance and square courtyard, while on the east and west sides are respectively the hilly area and flat ground. The entrance gate design demonstrates a magnificent and modest neo-Chinese style. With the simple pierced pattern, it well applies solid-void combination design to present a solemn sense but not lacking details.
The plant design mostly uses native trees suitable for local climate. At the same time, it also fully considers the seasonal changes. Residents here could not only enjoy the abundant greenery throughout the year, but also appreciate the seasonal characteristics. In spring, crape myrtle, hibiscus, peach blossoms, cherry blossoms and other flowers bloom one after another, bringing sweet aroma; in summer, lush vegetation creates a comfortable environment; in autumn, peach trees, apricot trees and other trees fruit well, overflowing with the joy of autumn harvest.
