Dongqian Lake is located in Yinzhou District, Ningbo. It is really a scenic spot on a par with the famous West Lake in Hangzhou, blessed with abundant natural resources and rich cultural connotations. Many celebrities have lived in this beautiful place since ancient times, including Fan Li (a great politician in the State of Yue in the Spring and Autumn Period), Xi Shi (one of the four great beauties in Chinese history), and Wang Anshi (a renowned philosopher and politician of Northern Song Dynasty), Shi Hao Family (the nobility in the Southern Song Dynasty), Tong Dizhou (a famous latter-day biologist), Sha Menghai (a famous calligrapher and seal carver) and Sha Qi (a famous latter-day painter).
GongWang Villa is only 1.1 kilometers away from Dongqian Lake. In order to well integrate the design concept into the local culture context, L&A Design cooperated with the Xiangshan Bang, the first-rate local craftsman team, to create an ideal livable environment with garden aesthetics of Song Dynasty and ritual sense of aristocratic life.
Local natural landscape essence was reasonably brought into the demonstration area design, creating the beauty from nature for visitors. Its core area was designed with a unique waterscape, with an exquisitely designed scale, shape and layout, to reproduce the charm of classical Chinese gardens. Many viewing platforms were designed at the entrance, water pavilion and outside the model home, allowing visitors to enjoy the waterscape from different angles.
