Designers investigated the local cultural context, from which they learned that Chengdu residents are fond of gardens, waterscape and tea tasting. Therefore, an ecological demonstration community (40,000 square meters) was built up with different waterscape themes such as "waterfalls", "streams" and “springs". In addition, seven ritual spaces were created in the community, including the departure area, bamboo-lined paths, meandering paths, viewing laneway, drop-off area, open landscape, turning space and amazing zone. The carefully designed spatial layout provided interesting viewing experiences for visitors and residents.
The livable and exquisite landscape scroll vividly depicted a aesthetic pastoral realm in the landscape poetry of Wang Wei, a poet, painter, musician, and statesman during the Tang dynasty.
